FAQ
Questions people ask.
If the answer you need is not here, the Rules of the Network sets out how the whole thing operates on one page.
General
- What is RGC4, in one sentence?
- A network that connects independent companies with complementary relationships and capabilities, and provides the structure — qualification, scope, contracts, governance, payment — to turn that into delivered work.
- Is this employment?
- No. There is no salary, no guaranteed income, and no employment relationship. Participants are independent and operate under a separately executed agreement.
- How long does applying take?
- The initial application is about five minutes. If you are invited to continue, the profile is a handful of guided questions and takes about ten more.
- Does everyone get accepted?
- No. Participation is subject to review and approval, and a decision not to proceed is a normal outcome. Being waitlisted usually means the network does not currently have demand that matches you, not that your experience is lacking.
- Who decides — a person or software?
- Anything decidable by rule is decided by rule, and the rules are published before they are applied to you. Where language has to be read, AI produces a recorded assessment with a recommendation. It never makes a binding decision about your standing, your work, or your money — a person does.
- Can I appeal a decision?
- Yes. Every automated decision that goes against you carries a request for owner review, and a person answers it.
- What do you do with my information?
- We use it to qualify you and to match you well, and for nothing else. We do not sell it, do not use it as AI training material, and do not share documents you upload beyond the sharing label you choose for each one.
- Do you publish what participants earn?
- No. Commercial terms are set in the agreement and discussed during qualification. We do not publish them, for the same reason a customer would not expect their pricing published.
For Sellers
- Is this a job?
- No. There is no salary, no guaranteed income, and no employment relationship. You participate as an independent party under a separately executed agreement.
- Should I stop looking for a role?
- No, and we would be suspicious of anyone who told you to. Some people use RGC4 between roles; others build something lasting. Decide after you have seen how it works.
- Do I have to give you my contacts?
- No. We ask about relationships by title and level so we can match opportunities sensibly. We never ask for a contact list, and you should not send one.
- What if I cannot deliver the work myself?
- That is the normal case. You own the relationship; RGC4 assembles the delivery team from the provider network and governs the engagement.
- How do I know another seller will not take my account?
- You register a specific opportunity — one customer, one problem — and it is protected while you are actively working it. Protection is earned by the specificity of what you registered and by continued activity, not by claiming an account.
- What does it pay?
- Compensation is set in the agreement and discussed during qualification. We do not publish commercial terms, for the same reason you would not expect a customer to publish theirs.
For Service Providers
- How do I get work?
- The system offers it to you. When an engagement is ready, eligible providers are ranked for fit and the work is offered to the best fit first. You accept or decline within a fixed window.
- Do I bid against other providers?
- No. You quote against a scope RGC4 has already defined, and you never see another provider's quote. Nor do they see yours.
- Will I know who the customer is?
- Not until you accept the offer and acknowledge confidentiality for that engagement. Until then you see the scope, the requirements, the industry, and the size band.
- Do you take my methodology?
- No. Your tools and methods remain yours. Documents you upload carry a sharing label you choose, and proprietary material is never distributed without your release or used as AI training material.
- When do I get paid?
- Per milestone, once the customer accepts it. Payment timing is set in the agreement. RGC4 does not pay out against work a customer has not accepted, and does not ask you to wait on work they have.
- What if the customer is unreasonable?
- Escalate to RGC4. Sitting in the middle is the point — governance, change control, and the acceptance gate exist so that disagreements are resolved against a written scope rather than by whoever is more forceful.
